CALGARY, AB (March 28, 2019): United Conservative Leader Jason Kenney has issued a statement after Matt Jones was named as the party’s candidate in Calgary-South East for the 2019 provincial election:

“After consulting with the Calgary-South East UCP constituency association, I have appointed Matt Jones as the United Conservative Party candidate.”

“Matt is an investment banker and has spent the last 9 years helping Alberta-based businesses with their growth plans, complex financial transactions, and with attracting international investment. He has seen first hand the damage that NDP policy, a lack of pipelines, and additional taxation has created for many Alberta families. Matt holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credential and is committed to bringing strong financial and pro-growth policy to government.

“I am pleased to welcome Matt as the United Conservative candidate in Calgary-South East.”
